Royal Princess emerges from Drydock with new Sanctuary Collection

Enhanced Guest Spaces Include O’Malley’s Irish Pub, Expanded Piazza Venues, and Refreshed Casino and Retail Experiences
Princess Cruises reveals a series of enhancements aboard Royal Princess, as the 3,595-guest ship emerges from a two-week drydock in Singapore. The October 16-30 drydock introduces the Sanctuary Collection to Royal Princess, part of the cruise line’s roll out to five of its Royal-Class ships, and brings fresh energy to the ship’s signature Piazza with the addition of O’Malley’s Irish Pub and an expanded Bellini’s cocktail bar. Guests will also discover enhancements to the Princess Casino and a revitalized Effy jewelry boutique.
“The enhancements aboard Royal Princess introduce new accommodations, distinctive venues for entertaining, dining and socializing, and thoughtfully refreshed spaces designed to elevate every aspect of the guest experience,” said Rodrigo Llaguno, Princess Cruises Chief Operating Officer. “These updates build on the ship’s enduring appeal and our commitment to creating memorable vacations through exceptional experiences and the signature Princess touches our guests have valued since her debut.”
Sanctuary Collection Debuts on Royal Princess – Resort Style Experience at Sea
As part of the recently announced expansion to five of its Royal-Class ships, Royal Princess now offers the premium, all-inclusive Sanctuary Collection, including access to the Sanctuary Club*, elevated amenities and personalized service. New for Royal Princess, newly constructed ocean-view staterooms can be reserved as part of the Sanctuary Collection, along with suites, mini-suites, deluxe balcony and balcony staterooms. In addition, the Sanctuary Restaurant – only available to Sanctuary Collection guests – is open on deck 6, adjacent to the Concerto Dining Room.
Staterooms
As part of the dry dock, Royal Princess also adds 20 guest cabins – six mini-suites, seven oceanview, two interiors, and five single interiors.
A Fresh New Look for the Piazza
At the heart of Royal Princess, the soaring Piazza receives an uplift with two enhanced venues offering new ways for guests to gather, dine and enjoy a cocktail.
O’Malley’s Irish Pub takes over the former Vines location on deck 5, bringing the popular Princess pub experience to Royal Princess. The welcoming neighborhood pub pairs Irish-inspired fare and favorite beverages with a lively, convivial atmosphere.
Nearby, Bellini’s expands into the former Photo Gallery space, creating a larger setting overlooking the Piazza where guests can enjoy the venue’s signature Bellini-inspired cocktails, champagne, sparkling wines and other specialty beverages.
Together, the new and expanded venues further enhance the Piazza as the vibrant social hub of Royal Princess throughout the day and evening.
More Casino Action
The Princess Casino has been reconfigured to create a more open gaming environment and additional space for slot machines. As part of the redesign, the staircase connecting decks 6 and 7 has been removed, allowing the casino floor to expand and accommodate an enhanced selection of gaming options.
Revitalized Effy Boutique & Shopping
Guests looking to indulge in a little retail therapy will also discover a newly revitalized Effy jewelry boutique. The refreshed space offers an enhanced setting to explore the brand’s distinctive fine jewelry collections while sailing. Additionally, The Shops of Princess have also been upgraded with the transition to new onboard retail partner Starboard.
Ready for an Australian Summer
Following her Singapore drydock, Royal Princess heads Down Under for a season of cruising from Sydney, offering guests the opportunity to experience her newly enhanced spaces while exploring Australia, New Zealand, and the South Pacific.
Royal Princess is one of three Princess ships sailing in the region during the 2026-27 season, which features 42 unique itineraries and 62 departures. Based in Sydney for the season, Royal Princess will offer a variety of voyages showcasing the natural beauty, vibrant cities and distinctive cultures of Australia and New Zealand, along with shorter coastal getaways.
