Veson Nautical partners with Seaber to accelerate pre-fixture optimisation in IMOS

Maritime data and technology provider Veson Nautical and scheduling and optimization company Seaber today announced a new integration to connect voyage workflows, enabling an optimized plan to become a live estimate in one step.
The integration connects Veson’s flagship solution IMOS with Seaber’s scheduling and optimization platform, removing a manual hand-off between planning and commitment. Charterers can now build and compare fleet scenarios in Seaber and send decisions directly to IMOS, eliminating the once tedious process of sifting through disparate position lists and spreadsheets to choose vessel and cargo combinations for estimating.
Charterers build and compare full fleet scenarios in Seaber’s optimization engine before the voyage details are sent to IMOS, creating and saving the estimate in one step. IMOS then builds the route and calculates freight, P&L, and time charter equivalent (TCE) data. Doing so streamlines pre-fixture and fleet optimization workflows, giving teams more time to test options with fully trusted data straight from the system of record.
“An estimate tells you what one voyage is worth. A schedule tells you which voyages your fleet should run, in what order, and what the whole plan earns,” said Seaber Chief Revenue Officer Jean-Guy Faubert. “Charterers optimize that schedule in Seaber, compare the scenarios and P&L side by side, and the voyage they commit to lands in IMOS as a saved estimate. Same data, same system their team already works in, no manual re-entry.”
The integration eliminates manual re-entry and shortens the time between suggesting a schedule and executing on it. IMOS, as part of the Veson Platform, remains the system of record, where estimates are refined before being handed to operations. And because scenario work happens upstream in Seaber, teams can test more options without disturbing the live voyage P&L. It’s a connection that not only streamlines pre-fixture workflows, but gives clients the flexibility to leverage the tools they rely on and the Veson Platform’s native capabilities.
“By connecting Seaber’s optimization solution directly to IMOS, we’re removing a manual step that slowed teams down between planning and commitment,” said Veson Nautical VP of Strategy & Operations Matt Filosa. “This is the value the Veson Platform is built to deliver: an open platform that offers clients more capabilities from the systems they trust, without changing how they work.”
