Fred Olsen Cruise Lines unveils new 2028 sailings with launch of Canada voyage

Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines has unveiled its new 2028 cruise programme, featuring 39 sailings designed to showcase more of each destination through scenic cruising, wildlife encounters and immersive cultural experiences, aboard its fleet of smaller ships.
Highlights include Fred. Olsen’s return to Canada on a 19-night scenic voyage, a Caribbean island-hopping adventure taking in Bermuda, the Bahamas and Puerto Rico, and sailings specially timed to offer opportunities to witness a total solar eclipse and the Northern Lights at sea.
The new programme, featuring sailings departing between January and July 2028, has been unveiled alongside the early release of the cruise line’s ‘Scenic Highlights of Canada’ cruise, which is available to book from today (Thursday, 1 October).
Departing from Liverpool on 14 June 2028, the cruise marks Fred. Olsen’s first return to Canada since 2024. Carefully timed for a quieter period of the season, the sailing offers opportunities to spot whales, marine wildlife and icebergs enroute, while exploring Newfoundland’s rugged coastline, the dramatic Gaspé Peninsula and the UNESCO-listed streets of Old Québec.
Martin Lister, Head of Product Innovation at Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, said:
“We know the most memorable holidays are about much more than the places you visit. They are about the moments along the way, whether that’s sailing through spectacular scenery from the deck of one of our smaller ships, uncovering fascinating local cultures, or witnessing some of nature’s most extraordinary spectacles.
“Our 2028 programme has been carefully designed to help guests discover more of the world around them. Showcasing the very best of each destination, these sailings offer opportunities for deeper exploration and memorable experiences, helping guests uncover something new and create memories that stay with them long after they return home.”
The full programme is available to preview now, ahead of going on sale on Wednesday, 7 October.
Guests who book by 4 November 2026 can take advantage of Fred. Olsen’s Freedom Fare Price Promise, offering reassurance that their cruise will not be available at a lower price than within the first four weeks of going on sale. During this period, solo travellers can also benefit from a selection of cabins with no single supplement.
