Nord Gas Solutions  has been awarded a contract to supply the regasification system module for Excelerate Energy’s  first FSRU conversion project. The module will be installed aboard the ’Methane Patricia Camila’, a 170,000 cbm LNG carrier that is being converted into a floating storage and regasification unit. The contract was awarded in July 2026.

“Nord Gas Solutions brings extensive experience designing and delivering regasification systems for the global LNG industry. Combined with our longstanding relationship, their technical expertise made them a natural partner for Excelerate Energy’s first FSRU conversion project,” said David Liner, Chief Operating Officer of Excelerate Energy. 

The NGS regasification module will be delivered during the first half of 2028. Once deployed, the converted FSRU will help expand access to cleaner and more affordable natural gas in the markets it serves.
