Cyprus Shipping News announces that Capt. Manish Verma joins as a speaker of the 2nd CSN Northern European Crewing Conference.
The Conference will take place on 22 September 2026 at the Hotel Hafen Hamburg – Elbkuppel in Hamburg. Under the theme “Crewing 5.0: Bridging the Gap Between Digital Efficiency and Human Reliability”

Marine Operations Leader with a distinguished track record in crisis response, technical management, and organizational transformation across tanker and bulk carrier fleets.
With over 20 years of seagoing experience, he progressed from Cadet to Master Mariner, commanding oil, chemical, and LPG tankers for globally respected shipping companies.
Throughout his maritime career, he successfully led high-risk and complex operations, consistently delivering results that exceeded stakeholder expectations.
Over the past 12 years ashore, he has earned recognition for driving operational excellence across diverse fleets by strengthening safety culture, improving efficiency, ensuring regulatory compliance, and elevating team performance.
A strong advocate of accountability and cross-cultural collaboration, he leads with integrity, resilience, and clear communication.
He has successfully managed critical maritime emergencies, including the evacuation of crew members from a vessel in Ukraine during a period of conflict.
By fostering close alignment between marine and technical teams, he has consistently delivered seamless operational performance that enhances both fleet reliability and corporate reputation.
In his present role as General Manager – Marine Operations, he is responsible for the safe, efficient, and compliant management of chemical, LPG tanker, and dry fleet.
His responsibilities include cargo operation guidance, navigational and safety audits, incident investigations, crew training and counselling, emergency response coordination, regulatory compliance, risk assessments, and close coordination with Flag States, Oil Majors, classification societies, and technical teams. He also supports dry docking operations, senior officer recruitment and briefing, and company-wide operational campaigns.
As General Manager – Marine Operations, he is responsible for the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of the company’s fleet, ensuring the highest standards of operational excellence and stakeholder confidence.
