The InterMaritime Group and Carsten Rehder are pleased to announce the formation of a strategic joint venture that will strengthen their ship management business and expand their presence in the German and Northern European maritime markets.
The joint venture merges the complementary strengths, expertise and long-standing maritime experience of both organisations through equal ownership in InterMaritime Shipmanagement GmbH & Co. KG, which will become the sole shareholder of Victoria Marine Ship Management GmbH & Co. KG, Carsten Rehder’s brand for technical ship management services. The company will operate as an integral part of the InterMaritime Group under the InterMaritime Shipmanagement name and logo, providing full technical management services for a fleet of currently approximately 20 vessels and crew management for a number of additional vessels.
Headquartered in Hamburg, Germany, the joint venture combines strong local market knowledge and project development expertise of Carsten Rehder with the international resources and network of the InterMaritime Group. The partnership is designed to enhance ship and crew management services, strengthen relationships with shipowners and managers, expand its customer base, and support future business growth across Germany and Northern Europe.
Clients will benefit from increased local expertise, broader recruitment capabilities, access to an expanded international network of qualified seafarers, enhanced career opportunities for seafarers, and the continued delivery of reliable, high-quality crew management services.
With decades of combined experience and a reputation for service excellence, the joint venture will leverage the combined heritage and global reach of both organisations to deliver a vessel-centric and customer-focused service offering worldwide.
The joint venture will be led by Managing Directors Tim Lissow (presently MD of Interorient Marine Services (Germany) GmbH & Co. KG) and Sven Kruse (presently MD of Victoria Marine Ship Management GmbH & Co. KG), who will jointly oversee the integration and future development of the business.
Throughout the transition, clients, business partners and seafarers can expect continuity of service as both organisations work closely together to ensure a seamless integration.
