Nord Gas Solutions awarded contract for cargo handling and fuel supply systems for new MGC vessels

Nord Gas Solutions has been contracted to supply the Cargo Handling System and LPG Fuel Supply System for two new 40,000 m³ Medium Gas Carrier vessels being built at HD Hyundai for the shipowner Byzantine Maritime. This contract was signed in June 2026.
The award further reinforces the long-standing relationship between Nord Gas Solutions and HD Hyundai and strengthens Nord Gas Solutions’ position as a trusted supplier of integrated cargo handling and fuel supply solutions for advanced gas carrier newbuildings.
Patrick Ha, Sales Manager at Nord Gas Solutions, commented:
“We are very pleased to be selected by HD Hyundai for this important project. This contract is the result of the strong working relationship and mutual trust that Nord Gas Solutions and HD Hyundai have built over many years. It is particularly rewarding that Byzantine Maritime, which already operates vessels equipped with Nord Gas Solutions’ cargo handling systems, has once again chosen our solutions for its newbuildings. This repeat selection demonstrates that the performance and reliability of our technology continue to be recognized by our customers.”
Nord Gas Solutions has extensive experience in the design and delivery of cargo handling and fuel supply systems for LPG carriers and other gas transportation vessels worldwide. The company provides comprehensive solutions covering engineering, equipment supply, commissioning support, and gas trial supervision, helping customers achieve safe and efficient vessel operations throughout the vessel lifecycle.
Nord Gas Solutions equipment is scheduled to be delivered to the shipyard in April 2027.
