Contract supports transition of production from the aging Ngoma FPSO to the new, lower-emissions Agogo FPSO, extending SLB OneSubsea’s long-standing partnership with Azule Energy

SLB OneSubsea has been awarded a contract by Azule Energy to supply controls umbilicals for the West Hub Tails project, part of the Integrated West Hub (IWH) development in Block 15/06, offshore Angola.

The West Hub Tails project supports the redirection of production from the Sangos, Ochigufu, Mpungi and Vandumbu fields — which have been on stream since 2014 via the Ngoma FPSO – to the newly installed Agogo FPSO.

As Ngoma approaches the end of its design life, all production will be diverted to Agogo, which has been built to modern standards that significantly reduce emissions. Under the agreement, SLB OneSubsea will design and deliver the additional controls umbilicals required to enable this transition.

The award builds on SLB OneSubsea’s extensive history of umbilical deliveries to Azule Energy across the West Hub production centers and the broader IWH development, including the Agogo and Ndungu tie-backs. This track record has established SLB OneSubsea as a trusted long-term partner supporting Azule Energy’s full-field development strategy in Block 15/06.
