ACQ Group TOSITTI GROUP acquires a controlling stake in Wilsonhalligan

“To be the first choice in luxury recruitment for Superyachts, Marine Shoreside and Private Households”.

The mission statement of Wilsonhalligan, as outlined on its website, encapsulates both the philosophy and the leading role of the British company, which specializes in the recruitment and selection of crew for luxury yachts. Based in Fareham, Hampshire, Wilsonhalligan operates in recruitment for superyachts, maritime companies and private households internationally. The company has joined ACQ Group (Tositti family), which acquired a controlling stake.

This transaction is part of a development plan launched by ACQ Group aimed at combining its leading role as a maritime agent for superyachts with companies and specialized services that are essential to the sector’s value chain. These services start with the recruitment and engagement of highly skilledprofessionals to work aboard large yachts, from captains and engineers to deck, interior and galley professionals.

Founded in 2007, with headquarters in Hampshire, Wilsonhalligan has grown to become one of the UK’s leading superyacht recruitment businesses.  The company has built its reputation on a highly personalised approach to recruitment, combining in-depth industry knowledge with rigorous candidate screening and high standards of service. Drawing on its direct knowledge of the maritime sector and a network of relationships with crew members, captains, owners and yacht managers, the British company carries out targeted recruitment based on the specific requirements of each client and role.

For the ACQ Group, which in recent months has also invested in establishing a strategic presence in the Caribbean, the new acquisition represents a key building block in the creation of a diversified and therefore comprehensive range of services for the yachting sector.

The Venice-based ACQ Group currently employs more than 160 people, both directly and indirectly, and is planning further acquisitions, targeting specialised service providers that complement its core business.

“We believe,” says Stefano Tositti, Founder and CEO of ACQ Group, “that the growth of a company starts above all with its people. For this reason, Wilsonhalligan’s entry into the Group has particular significance for us: we are adding a strategic capability that will enable us to contribute even more to the development of the yachting sector on a global scale. We are proud to partner with a company that has built its reputation on excellence and on its ability to identify the best talent.”

According to Liam Dobbin, Managing Director of Wilsonhalligan, and Nicola Morgan, Director of Wilsonhalligan, “Joining ACQ Group will enable us to pursue further growth and contribute our expertise to an established organization that has become a reference point in the yachting sector, while expanding our activities and client portfolio”.
