ACES and Movandi announce strategic partnership to accelerate next-generation 5G and 6G Wireless Infrastructure in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East at LEAP 2026

Collaboration combines ACES’ regional deployment expertise with Movandi’s mmWave, RFIC and beamforming technologies
Advanced Communications and Electronic Systems Company and Movandi, the semiconductor and systems connectivity company powering intelligent wireless infrastructure, announced a strategic partnership, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding during LEAP 2026 in Riyadh, to advance the development, validation and commercialization of next-generation 5G and future 6G wireless technologies.
The collaboration combines ACES’ local R&D capabilities in local development of 5G small cells, Open RAN, RF front-end and antenna technologies, digital platforms, and next-generation 5G and 6G systems with Movandi’s mmWave RF, antenna, beamforming and semiconductor technologies. ACES’ R&D has already locally developed its O-RAN compliant shareable 5G small cell solution in Saudi Arabia, demonstrating its growing product-development capabilities and commitment to technology localization. Together, the companies aim to advance the development, validation and commercialization of mmWave connectivity, O-RAN, small cells and advanced RF technologies.
“Saudi Arabia is rapidly building the digital infrastructure required for the next generation of connectivity, and moving from technology innovation to large-scale deployment requires strong local execution,” said Maryam Rofougaran, CEO and co-founder of Movandi. “Movandi’s technology has already been proven through commercial and trial deployments in North America and Asia. By combining our mmWave, RFIC and beamforming expertise with ACES’ market presence, integration capabilities and deployment experience, we see a significant opportunity to accelerate advanced wireless infrastructure across Saudi Arabia and the region.”
Under the partnership, ACES and Movandi plan to collaborate across:
- mmWave and RF front-end technologies for high-capacity, low-latency wireless connectivity
- 5G, future 6G and O-RAN architectures, including indoor and outdoor small cells
- Joint R&D, field validation and proof-of-concept deployments
- Commercialization and business development across Saudi Arabia, the broader Middle East and global markets
“ACES is committed to translating advanced communications technologies into practical, high-performance network solutions through its extensive R&D,” said Dr. Akram Aburas (CEO, ACES). “Our collaboration with Movandi combines complementary technology, R&D, and deployment capabilities to accelerate the development and localization of mmWave, Open RAN, and next-generation 5G and 6G infrastructure in the Kingdom.”
The partnership provides Movandi with a regional platform to validate and scale its wireless technologies while expanding ACES’ ability to deliver advanced mmWave and O-RAN solutions to operators and enterprises across Saudi Arabia and the region, supporting digital infrastructure goals aligned with Saudi Vision 2030.
