Regent Seven Seas Cruises® reveals stunning crystal light installation for Seven Seas Prestige™, complete with Regent’s first-ever Lumière Event

The Spectacular Feature Created by Renowned Crystal House Preciosa Lighting and Studio DADO will Illuminate Ship’s Starlight Atrium

Regent Seven Seas Cruises®, the world’s leading ultra-luxury cruise line, reveals details of a breathtaking new crystal light installation that will debut aboard Seven Seas Prestige when she launches in December 2026. The installation serves as both an artistic marvel and a luminous symbol of the legacy beginning with Regent’s first new ship class in a decade. A beautiful behind-the-scenes video has been created detailing the craftsmanship that has gone into creating this one-of-a-kind feature.

Rising through eleven decks within the ship’s soaring Starlight Atrium, the striking and contemporary interpretation of a traditional chandelier will also serve as the centerpiece for Lumière, Regent’s first-ever sound-and-light show, which is set to become a beloved daily pre-dinner ritual.

“With Seven Seas Prestige being Regent’s first new ship class in 10 years, we wanted to create something extraordinary, a defining statement that captures our heritage of unrivaled luxury while signaling a bold new era,” said Wesley D’Silva, president of Regent Seven Seas Cruises. “This magnificent installation, which is truly a work of art, has been crafted in a centuries-old tradition and brought to life through the wonders of modern technology and engineering. It offers unforgettable moments of awe and wonder from the moment our guests first step aboard.”

Created in partnership with renowned crystal house Preciosa Lighting and Studio DADO, a key creative design force behind Regent’s Explorer-Class ships and Seven Seas Prestige, the light installation’s story begins in the Czech Republic’s Crystal Valley, the historic birthplace of Bohemian glassmaking. For centuries, the region’s exceptional natural resources and master artisans have shaped raw materials into objects of brilliance. Now, that heritage will be celebrated at sea on an unprecedented scale.

The Starlight Atrium serves as the heart of Seven Seas Prestige, an architectural showpiece inspired by classical and Renaissance design. This radiant work of art, assembled with more than 300 hand-crafted Bohemian crystal rods, acts as a defining statement for the ship, evoking a powerful sense of arrival that sets the tone for the voyage ahead. The piece, which presents as a sculptural work of art, can be dynamically programmed to create multiple moods and effects at different times of the day, creating an unforgettable, ever-changing experience at every viewing.

Regent has long collaborated with Preciosa Lighting to craft dazzling chandeliers across its fleet, and Seven Seas Prestige elevates this partnership to create a true icon of light. The piece honors tradition while presenting it in a way that feels bold and contemporary with every detail thoughtfully conceived to resonate with Regent’s discerning guests.

Lumière – A First for Regent Seven Seas Cruises

Lumière, an enchanting evening ritual in the Starlight Atrium, shines a spotlight on the spectacular light installation that serves as the heart and soul of Seven Seas Prestige. Taking place nightly at 6:25 p.m., the spectacle transforms the Starlight Atrium into a stage for a choreographed display of light and music, creating a memorable moment for guests to anticipate, experience and share.

As the Starlight Atrium lights fade, the installation comes alive through a symphony of shimmering lighting effects, carefully synchronized to a bespoke musical arrangement. Designed to be enjoyed from every level of the Starlight Atrium, with each vantage point offering a unique perspective, the performance blends elegance, drama and romance just before the evening dining experience begins. Guests are invited to enjoy a glass of champagne at Galileo’s Bar while taking in this captivating tradition, establishing a signature ritual that enhances the guest experience and sets the stage for a new legacy.

“Lumière is the ship’s nightly ritual, signaling the transition from day to evening as our Starlight Atrium lights up to a bespoke orchestral piece,” said Kai Carrier, director, entertainment creative, Regent Seven Seas Cruises. “Inspired by the anticipation of the beauty of sunset, it marks the moment the day gives way to a night sky of stars. Elegant, celestial, and aspirational, this signature transition is unmistakably Prestige, setting the tone for an extraordinary evening ahead.”

“Lumière was designed to create a moment of shared anticipation and wonder each evening, bringing guests together beneath the heart of Seven Seas Prestige before they begin their night,” added D’Silva.

As Seven Seas Prestige prepares to join The World’s Most Luxurious Fleet® in December 2026, the unveiling of this extraordinary masterpiece marks another milestone in Regent’s continuing pursuit of perfection.
