Telenor selects Vodafone to manage its international voice operations across Nordic markets and Maritime

Telenor and Vodafone Procure & Connect today announced an agreement for Vodafone to manage Telenor’s international voice operations, currently operated by Telenor Linx, across Telenor Norway, Telenor Sweden, DNA Finland, Telenor Denmark and Telenor Maritime.
The agreement enables Telenor to leverage Vodafone’s global scale, international voice expertise and established operating platform. As international communications continue to evolve, operators increasingly require trusted partners to manage global voice services securely, reliably and at scale.
Under the arrangement, Vodafone Procure & Connect will act as the operational gateway for inbound and outbound international voice traffic into and out of Telenor’s Nordic markets and Telenor Maritime. The agreement is designed to support the future operation of Telenor’s international voice business while maintaining the high standards expected by customers and partners.
The transition will be delivered through a phased migration programme over the coming six months. Telenor Linx’s existing customer and partner agreements will continue to be honoured throughout the transition period, ensuring a structured and orderly migration process.
This arrangement does not affect customer services, existing commercial relationships or agreed voice interconnect services.
Stig Waagbo, CEO Telenor Linx, said:
“As the telecommunications industry continues to evolve, strategic partnerships play a crucial role in driving efficiency and delivering greater value to customers. This agreement with Vodafone reflects our commitment to optimizing our operations while maintaining the highest standards of service. We are confident that Vodafone is the right partner to support this next chapter of our voice business.”
Kenneth Graham, Managing Director of Voice & Roaming Services, said:
“Managing international voice services at scale requires deep expertise, trusted relationships and robust security capabilities. Telenor’s decision to select Vodafone reflects the strength of our platform and the capabilities we have built. We welcome the opportunity to support Telenor’s customers and further strengthen the partnership between our companies.”
