Himile delegation to Norway advances LCO₂ Tank Development

Provaris welcomed a delegation from Himile Heavy Industries to Oslo and Fiskå for a series of technical workshops conducted under our Memorandum of Understanding with Yinson.
MOU with Yinson and Himile supports commercialisation pathway
Last week, Provaris welcomed a delegation from Himile to Oslo and Fiskå, Norway, for a series of technical workshops conducted under our Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Yinson. The goal of the MOU is to develop bankable cost estimate and schedule of the LCO₂ in support of Yinson’s future FID.
The sessions brought together engineering and project teams from Provaris, Himile’s team from China and Yinson to further align on the development of our large-scale liquid CO₂ (LCO₂) tank solution, supporting Yinson’s vision for an integrated carbon capture and storage (CCS) supply chain.
The workshops focused on key development areas including tank design, status of class approvals, fabrication methodology using robotics, automation and laser-welding, preliminary cost estimates and project schedules. These activities represent important steps toward defining a scalable and commercially competitive solution for LCO₂ storage and marine transportation.

Power of Partnerships to Support Global Supply Chains
The collaboration between Provaris, Himile and Yinson demonstrates the power of partnerships in accelerating technology development and commercialisation. By combining Provaris’ containment technology, Himile’s world-class manufacturing expertise and Yinson’s ambition to develop a full CCS value chain, the partnership is advancing practical solutions for one of the fastest-growing segments of the energy transition.
As CCS projects move from concept to deployment globally, reliable and cost-effective LCO₂ transportation infrastructure has become increasingly important. We believe partnerships such as these position Provaris to participate in a significant emerging market opportunity while supporting the development of integrated carbon management solutions
