Chrysanthos has a working experience of more than 25 years in the Shipping/ Cruise Industry, having worked as Technical Superintendent, Fleet Manager, and Technical Director for a major Cruise Operator. He is a member of the Technical Committees of major Classification Societies (DNV, RINA,BV petroleum Services), MARTECMA, the Technical Chamber in Cyprus, CMMI etc.
Chrysanthos has been very active in Energy Efficiency, Environmental regulations, Passenger safety etc. He has attended several Conferences in recent years delivering presentations on energy efficiency and fuel management initiatives and actions taken by his organization to mitigate the effects of GHGs Emissions, monitor quality of fuel and improve the environmental footprint of the company.
He is involved in R&D projects including practical measures/techniques to reduce GHGs, NOX and SOX emissions and other small- and large-scale projects that involved practical application of abatement technologies (including onboard installation) & preparation of feasibility studies on energy efficiency projects.
Chrysanthos has an MPhil in Marine Technology and a BEng in Marine Engineering from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne (UK) and a diploma on Marine Engineering from HTI (Cyprus).
