ShipIn Systems announces $52 Million financing to power the connected ship

ShipIn Systems, the company building the AI operating system for commercial shipping, today announced a $52 million financing, welcoming Proofpoint Capital, HighSage Ventures, Bling Ventures, Framework Venture Partners and Tokio Marine Future Fund as new investors, alongside continued support from existing investors including Zeev Ventures, Munich Re, Atinc and Hyperplane Ventures.
As part of the financing, Matt Wallach, Co-founder of Proofpoint Capital and Co-founder of Veeva Systems (NYSE: VEEV), will join ShipIn’s Board of Directors.
The financing accelerates ShipIn’s mission to Power the Connected Ship by bringing together operational data from across the vessel into a single AI-powered operational intelligence platform.
Today, ShipIn’s platform operates across 92 shipowners and more than 1,300 vessels, making it one of the largest AI deployments in commercial shipping.
By connecting onboard cameras, vessel systems, sensors and enterprise platforms, ShipIn provides Captains, Chief Engineers, crew and fleet managers with continuous operational visibility that improves safety, productivity and fleet performance.
The new capital will accelerate global expansion, deepen ShipIn’s AI capabilities, expand product development, strengthen strategic partnerships across the maritime ecosystem and continue investing in and protecting the company’s intellectual property portfolio.
“Commercial shipping is entering its AI era,” said Osher Perry, Founder and CEO of ShipIn Systems. “For the first time, AI can transform operational data into operational intelligence. Our mission is to power the connected ship by turning every voyage into a continuous learning cycle: empowering crew, reducing risk and helping shipowners operate safer, smarter and more efficient fleets.”
“We’ve seen this transformation before,” said Matt Wallach, Co-founder of Proofpoint Capital and Co-founder of Veeva Systems. “I was present as the life sciences industry evolved from fragmented point solutions into an industry-wide operating system that fundamentally changed how organizations operate. We believe commercial shipping is now at a similar inflection point, driven by innovations with AI. ShipIn has the potential to become foundational infrastructure for the maritime industry and I’m excited to help the company achieve that vision.”
“The future of marine insurance lies in preventing incidents before they occur,” said Masaru Kusutani, Managing Executive Officer at Tokio Marine Holdings. “ShipIn provides shipowners with a new level of operational visibility that enables earlier risk identification, safer operations and stronger fleet performance. We believe technologies like ShipIn will play an increasingly important role in improving both the resilience and profitability of global shipping.”
Commercial shipping is entering a new era—one where every vessel continuously learns from every operation, every fleet becomes more intelligent over time, and AI empowers the people responsible for moving more than 90% of global trade.
ShipIn is building the platform that makes that future possible.
