“K” LINE to Support Relief Efforts Following Earthquake off the Coast of Mindanao, the Philippines

The earthquake that struck off the coast of Mindanao, the Philippines, on June 8 caused severe damage in a number of regions.
Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd. (“K” LINE) has decided to donate USD 20,000 through The Rayomar Outreach Foundation, Inc. (ROFI*), a charitable organization established by the Rayomar Group, our business partner in the Philippines, to support relief and recovery efforts in the affected areas.
In coordination with ROFI, we assessed conditions in the disaster-stricken areas and found damage to school buildings at an elementary school in Sarangani Province, Mindanao, where the impact of the earthquake has been particularly severe. The donation will be used for the installation of temporary classrooms to help ensure a safe educational environment for affected children.
We offer our sincerest condolences to those who lost loved ones and sincerely hope for the swift recovery and reconstruction of the affected communities.
* ROFI: a charitable organization to support livelihoods, medical care and education, as well as to collect donations and to support volunteering activities.
