The KJ Pittalis Foundation announced the launch of its Scholarship Programme, in collaboration with CIM Cyprus Business School, offering an educational opportunity to a deserving student to pursue a Bachelor in Shipping Management.
The scholarship represents the Foundation’s commitment to supporting ambitious and hardworking young people in Cyprus by creating opportunities for students who demonstrate academic potential, determination, and financial need.
Established in memory of Kyriacos J. Pittalis and his wife Erato, the KJ Pittalis Foundation continues their legacy of community spirit and their belief in the transformative power of education. The Foundation’s mission is to support students with the commitment and potential to succeed, while providing assistance to those who may face financial barriers in accessing higher education.
Education played a central role in Kyriacos Pittalis’ own journey. Having left Cyprus in pursuit of new opportunities, he built his career through perseverance, continuous learning, and hard work. His entrepreneurial journey across professional services, shipping, LPG and other sectors reflects the values of ambition, resilience and commitment that continue to inspire the Foundation’s work.
Through this collaboration with CIM Cyprus Business School, the Foundation is launching its first scholarship initiative, supporting the development of future professionals while creating opportunities for talented students to pursue their educational aspirations.
The scholarship will provide tuition fee support for the Bachelor in Shipping Management, with the Foundation intending to support the student throughout the full duration of the four-year programme, subject to meeting the required academic performance, attendance and progression criteria.
The scholarship is designed for students who have the ambition and potential to succeed but may require financial support to access higher education opportunities.

Speaking about the initiative, John Pittalis, stated:
“Education was one of the strongest beliefs of our parents, Kyriacos and Erato Pittalis. They understood that knowledge, determination and opportunity can transform a person’s future. Through the KJ Pittalis Foundation, we aim to continue their legacy by supporting young people who have the ambition to succeed and by creating opportunities that allow them to reach their full potential.”
On behalf of CIM-Cyprus Business School, CEO Yangos Hadjiyannis stated:
“We are delighted to work with KJ Pittalis Foundation for this outstanding initiative. As a Business School we always support initiatives that have a strong social responsibility element and we strongly believe that the scholarship scheme, through KJ Pittalis Foundation, will provide the opportunity to a young person to be educated at the highest level and enhance their employability prospects.”
Applications for the ‘KJ Pittalis Foundation Scholarship Programme’ are now open and will remain open until 07 August 2026.
Eligible candidates are invited to apply through CIM Cyprus Business School and submit the required supporting documentation as part of the selection process.
