The Digital Container Shipping Association (DCSA) announces that BuyCo, a digital container shipping platform for beneficial cargo owners (BCOs), has joined its DCSA+ partnership programme to help advance interoperable digital standards and accelerate digital collaboration across container shipping.

BuyCo is a technology provider that enables shippers and BCOs to manage end-to-end container shipping operations through a centralised, carrier-agnostic platform. The platform supports workflows including scheduling, booking, documentation, tracking and shipment visibility, helping customers streamline collaboration with ocean carriers and improve operational efficiency.

Through DCSA+, BuyCo will contribute to the development and implementation of shared industry standards designed to reduce fragmentation and improve interoperability across the container shipping ecosystem. By participating in DCSA working groups, BuyCo will contribute feedback on APIs, workflows and data models that inform more seamless integration between technology providers and ocean carriers.

Container shipping continues to face challenges caused by fragmented systems, inconsistent data formats and varying carrier integration methods. For shippers and BCOs operating across multiple carriers, this can reduce visibility, create operational inefficiencies and limit automation opportunities. Industry-wide standards are increasingly important to enable more connected and scalable supply chain workflows.

Representing approximately 75% of global container trade, the partnership with DCSA provides BuyCo with a unique environment to collaborate directly with leading ocean carriers and align its platform with evolving industry standards. The partnership also supports BuyCo’s ambition to deliver a truly carrier-agnostic platform that enables enterprise shippers and BCOs to manage end-to-end container shipping operations through a single digital environment. By participating in DCSA+, BuyCo can strengthen integration with carriers while supporting more consistent, standards-based data exchange across the industry.

A key area of collaboration will focus on implementing DCSA latest APIs within the BuyCo platform to support standardised workflows and improve consistency of operational data across carrier interactions. BuyCo also aims to contribute practical implementation feedback that can help accelerate adoption of interoperable digital standards across the industry.

Joining DCSA+ represents an important step in BuyCo’s commitment to supporting industry transformation through standards-based connectivity and closer collaboration with the carrier ecosystem.
