Azimuth Benetti Group announced that, on June 15, the Altagamma Members’ Assembly officially appointed Giovanna Vitelli as President of Fondazione Altagamma for the 2026–2029 term.

The Altagamma Foundation brings together the best of Italian entrepreneurial excellence, representing 127 leading brands across the fashion, design, jewellery, food, hospitality, automotive, and yachting sectors—including names such as Ferrari, Pagani, Ferragamo, Gucci, Bulgari, Molteni, and Giorgetti.

Giovanna Vitelli’s appointment recognizes her three-year tenure as Altagamma’s Vice President for Yachting, highlighted by the launch of the first-ever study on the economic and employment impact of yachting in Italy. It also reflects the strategic importance of the Azimut|Benetti Group in the luxury sector, which holds a 23% share of the global superyacht market.

During her three-year mandate, Giovanna Vitelli will pursue three key objectives:

– Promoting the Italian luxury industry as a true engine of growth for the country and showcasing the Italian lifestyle;

– Supporting younger generations by fostering managerial career opportunities and promoting craftsmanship and artisanal professions;

– Strengthening institutional relations and connections with emerging markets.
