Rotterdam’s B30-VLSFO (POMEME) price has dropped $85/mt in the past week.

The Dutch port’s conventional VLSFO price has fallen $67/mt lower, which has cancelled out any support from a Prima Markets-assessed ARA POMEME barge price gain of $27/mt.

Gibraltar’s B30-VLSFO (UCOME) price has fallen $49/mt in the last week. A $52/mt decrease in the port’s conventional VLSFO price has put downward pressure on the blend’s price.

Meanwhile, Lisbon’s B30-VLSFO price has decreased by only $11/mt. Lisbon still has the grade at a discount to Gibraltar, but the discount has narrowed by $38/mt in a single week.

Lisbon’s B30-LSMGO price has dropped $31/mt in the past week.

Rotterdam’s B30-LSMGO (POMEME) price has fallen by a steeper $113/mt, amid a $60/mt fall in the Dutch port’s conventional VLSFO price.

This has widened Rotterdam’s price discount to Lisbon by a sizeable $82/mt.

Singapore

Singapore’s B30-VLSFO price has dropped $20/mt. The port’s conventional VLSFO price has fallen by a much greater $75/mt.

The Prima-assessed UCOME cargo price has remained unchanged in the last week. This cargo price is closely connected to Singapore’s biofuel prices as Singapore is a major importer of Chinese UCOME.

Singapore’s B30-VLSFO premium over pure VLSFO has increased by $55/mt in the last week.

In other biofuel news this week, Japanese shipping firm Kinkai Yusen will test a B24 biofuel blend on a RoRo vessel operating between Japan’s Hakata and Tsuruga ports from 16 June. The fuel will be physically supplied at Hakata Port by Japanese bunker supplier Itochu Enex.

Malaysian bunker supplier TMD Energy and bioenergy firm Double Corporate have extended discussions on a potential biofuel supply partnership targeting the European and Asian markets.

Marine biofuel sales made up 9% of Norway’s total biofuel sales in 2025, when 59 million litres (52,000 mt) were supplied. That was slightly lower than 2024’s sales of 61 million litres (54,000 mt). All biofuel supplied to the shipping and aviation sectors in 2025 was made from used cooking oil, according to the Norwegian Environment Agency.

Marine fuel supplier Chimbusco Pan Nation (CPN) bunkered tanker operator Torm’s vessel Torm Corrido with B100 (100% biofuel) in Hong Kong on Monday. The bunker operation was conducted by the IMO Type 2 bunker tanker Guo Si.

Industry association BIMCO has released a new biofuel clause that makes charterers liable for any damages or costs incurred to vessels from unsuitable biofuel.
