Captain Vassilios Leoussis
Crew Manager – Oceangold Tankers
Captain Vassilios Leoussis is the Fleet Personnel Manager at Oceangold Tankers Inc., with an overall of 28 years of experience on Maritime Tanker Sector serving on Management positions both on-board and at-shore. Over the past 15 years, he has specialized in Crew Management.
He holds Captain Class A’ Degree, a Diploma in Port and Shipping Administration and a Master of Science in Marine Policy by University of Wales, Cardiff.
Capt. Vassilios joined Oceangold Tankers Inc. in 2012 with main objective to develop and establish an in-house Infrastructure for the Manning of company’s fleet. During this course he successfully leaded the Crew Management of the organization creating a large pool of longstanding directly employed Oceangoldian Seafarers, including the opening and establishment of In-House Manning Offices in Odessa, Batumi and Manila.
With main commitment the continuation of Seafaring Profession being the backbone of Maritime Industry, Capt Vassilios has participated as a speaker in Academic Advisory Committees of Maritime Transport Agency of Georgia, various Training Conferences, Career Mentoring Conferences at Maritime Academies in Batumi and and various TV spots in national television of Georgia.
