Under the agreement with AGR, Omega Subsea will deliver integrated ROV and survey capabilities onboard Aquaman II, including a work-class ROV system, offshore personnel, operational technology, and subsea support equipment. In addition, Omega Subsea will provide dedicated survey services onboard Ross Eagle as part of AGR’s expanding offshore operations.

The collaboration positions Omega Subsea to support flexible and cost-efficient vessel-based subsea operations, including plug and abandonment (P&A), cable campaigns, inspection work, and decommissioning projects in an increasingly active offshore market.

Integrated offshore delivery 

The agreement has been established on a long-term basis, with an initial two-year contract period plus extension options, forming part of a broader collaboration between the companies aimed at developing efficient and scalable offshore solutions.

Built in 2005, Aquaman II is an 89.3-metre multipurpose offshore support vessel configured as a light Construction-AHTS (CAHTS), designed to support demanding offshore and subsea operations across the region. The vessel setup combines marine operations, ROV services, and survey capabilities in a flexible platform suited for a wide range of offshore campaigns.

Operational support from Bergen 

During operations, the collaboration may also utilise Omega Subsea’s operational setup in Bergen, including logistics, warehousing, harbour access, and remote operational support through the company’s ROC (Remote Operations Center). The ROC centre enables remote monitoring and operational support for offshore activities, providing real-time operational oversight, technical assistance, data handling, and communication between offshore crews and onshore support personnel.

Combined with access to local suppliers and technical environments, the setup supports efficient mobilisation, operational flexibility, and streamlined offshore execution.
