Nordion Energi operates in the field of energy infrastructure. The company currently consists of e.g. the electricity grid operator Falbygdens Energi and the electricity grid and fibre operator Dala Energi, which are owned jointly with the municipalities of Rättvik, Leksand and Gagnef, as well as Siljansvik. The company is also a leading operator of gas infrastructure and own and operates transmission grid operator Swedegas and distribution network Weum.

The electrification of society, digitalisation and contingency issues place increasing demands on local energy infrastructure. Nordion Energi’s ambition is to be the natural, long-term partner for municipalities that want to future-proof their energy supply.

The business concept is to deliver a simple and sustainable energy experience in the Kalmar region, and the vision is to jointly create the conditions for building and securing an innovative, accessible and sustainable Kalmar.

The transaction is subject to adoption by the municipal council and the usual government agency approvals. The process is expected to be completed after the summer.
