Associated British Ports  the UK’s largest port operator, is set to welcome Ellerman City Liners’ new weekly Poland-UK Express service at its Port of Hull, adding choice and boosting route to market reliability for end customers.

The direct Szczecin–Hull–Szczecin rotation, the iPEX 2 service, offers fast, reliable transit times and provides shippers with a time, cost and emissions efficient route into the north of England. The ABP operated Hull Container Terminal (HCT), sited on the north bank of the Humber Estuary, has had significant investment of over £55m over the years, including upgrading of equipment and improved landside operations.

The terminal is complemented by the container terminal at the Port of Immingham, which together welcome 24 vessels a week. Between them they handle more than 5,500 units per week.

The Poland–UK Express complements Ellerman’s existing weekly Viasea call into the Port of Immingham. Ellerman acquired Viasea, the Norwegian shortsea operator, in November 2025.

The new service creates additional transhipment opportunities and expands the Humber’s links with Northern Europe and global markets.
