Independent evaluation of 29 vendors across 100+ parameters recognizes Soracom for highest platform capability among IoT MVNOs, with strengths in AI adoption, analytics, and developer experience

Soracom, , a cloud-native IoT platform providing connectivity, cloud integration, and AI services for the Internet of Things, announced that it has been named a Leader in Counterpoint Research’s 2026 Connectivity Management Platform Rankings. Soracom has held the Leader designation for three consecutive years in the evaluation, which assessed 29 CMP vendors across more than 100 platform and execution parameters.

Counterpoint’s evaluation benchmarks vendors on eight platform capability dimensions, including provisioning and orchestration, security, analytics and reporting, AI adoption, and ease of use, alongside execution factors such as geographic presence, partnerships, financial strength, and customer base growth. Soracom achieved the highest Capability rating among IoT MVNOs evaluated, reflecting the depth of a platform that spans SIM-level connectivity management through AI-driven workflow automation and natural-language data analytics.

The 2026 evaluation recognized Soracom’s continued investment in AI capabilities that extend the platform beyond connectivity management. Soracom Flux, the platform’s low-code IoT application builder, enables customers to process sensor data and camera images using integrated AI actions for analysis, anomaly detection, and automated decision-making. Soracom Query provides natural-language IoT data analytics, allowing teams to search and analyze connectivity, billing, and device data without writing SQL. Soracom’s MCP Server enables direct integration with AI platforms including OpenAI and Claude, allowing users to interact with the connectivity management platform through natural language.

Counterpoint also highlighted Soracom’s early positioning on next-generation SIM technology.
