Dinnteco America unveils DDCE Marine Mini Lightning Protection solution for small vessels

Dinnteco America, established leader in lightning protection technology, announced today the launch of its newest model in marine lightning protection solutions, the DDCE Marine Mini.
The DDCE Marine Mini is a lightning protection system specifically designed for vessels up to 50 feet (15 meters) in length and 10 feet (3 meters) in height, extending Dinnteco’s revolutionary lightning protection to a whole new class of boats, including smaller boats and even unmanned craft.
Using proprietary variable electric-field compensation technology, the DDCE Marine Mini prevents the formation of the upward leader (an upward discharge from tall structures caused by intensified electric fields) and, therefore, prevents direct lightning strikes on the vessel. Manufactured with high‑resistance marine-grade materials and certified by international official laboratories, the DDCE Marine Mini offers a compact and effective solution for smaller vessels requiring a primary and autonomous protection system.
“The DDCE Marine Mini is the ideal stand-alone lightning protection solution for smaller watercraft up to 50 feet,” said Todd Tally, General Manager of Atlantic Marine Electronics. “Its certified technology, compact design and resistance to harsh marine environments make it the most reliable option in its class to ensure the ultimate safety of a boat, its electronics and most importantly, its crew.”
Designed to withstand the intense marine space, the DDCE Marine Mini’s construction combines stainless steel, polyoxometalates (POM) and saline to provide up to 100-meter protection and ensure long-lasting performance. Easy to install, the lightweight, 3-pound system only takes up a 3-inch x 6-inch footprint. It also meets all RoHS standards and boasts official certifications from INTA, LCOE (IEC 62305‑1), University of Pau, CE Marking, ISO 9001, NATO (NCAGE: SYN37), Bureau Veritas (IEC 62561‑1), RINA, and LLOYDS, making it the most robust lightning protection option for smaller vessels on the market.
