Ecopro HN will supply a Selective Catalytic Reduction system for a Heat Recovery Steam Generator  to Taiwan’s Tongsiao LNG Power Plant.

Based on its technology that neutralizes harmful nitrogen oxides at the source within power plants, Ecopro HN plans to target the global eco-friendly power generation market.

Ecopro HN announced on March 30 that it has signed a contract with BHI, a Heat Recovery Steam Generator manufacturer, to supply the SCR project for the Tongsiao LNG Power Plant in Taiwan.

The total contract value is 23.9 billion won (around $15.9 million), which is approximately 17% of the company’s revenue last year.

An HRSG is an eco-friendly power generation facility that produces additional electricity by recycling heat from the high-temperature exhaust gases emitted by an LNG gas turbine.

The SCR system supplied by Ecopro HN is responsible for converting nitrogen oxides (NOx), an air pollutant generated during the HRSG power generation process, into harmless water and nitrogen.

The HRSG is a massive structure, reaching the height of a 15-story apartment building, and purifying the enormous volume of exhaust gas passing through this giant structure in real-time requires highly advanced process capabilities.

Therefore, this contract is significant as it represents a recognition of Ecopro HN’s technological capabilities and quality competitiveness by BHI, a leader in the global HRSG market.

An official from Ecopro HN stated, “This contract is a firm validation of our technological capabilities in the overseas power generation market,” and added, “We will further expand our SCR business in the global LNG power generation market, which is expected to grow to a scale of 300 trillion won by 2030.”
