Samsung Heavy Industries announced on the 20th that it has secured an order for one LNG carrier from a shipping company in the Oceania region for 377.9 billion won. The vessel is scheduled for delivery by April 2029.

This brings Samsung Heavy Industries’ cumulative orders for the year to a total of 12 vessels, valued at $2.4 billion, achieving 17% of its annual target $13.9 billion.

By vessel type, the orders consist of a total of 12 ships: four LNG carriers, two ethane carriers, two container ships, and four crude oil tankers.

A Samsung Heavy Industries official said, “We are maintaining a selective ordering strategy focused on high-value-added vessels while flexibly responding to changes in the market environment.
