Piraeus Port Authority is pleased to announce the arrival of TOURMALINE ACE at the Port of Piraeus.
Mitsui O.S.K. Lines is among the top companies in global vehicle shipping, operating a fleet of over 95 specialized vessels designed to transport all types of vehicles – from passenger cars to heavy machinery – with a capacity of approximately 5,000 standard-size vehicles per ship.

Within the framework of this cooperation, the vessel M/V Tourmaline Ace, one of the newest additions to the MOL fleet, made its inaugural call at the Port of Piraeus on 10th March, carrying approximately 1,000 vehicles destined for the Greek market.
The vessel represents a flagship example of MOL’s new generation of Pure Car and Truck Carriers and is notable for its liquefied natural gas (LNG) propulsion system, which significantly reduces emissions, achieving up to 25–30% lower CO₂ emissions, 85% lower NOx emissions and up to 98% lower SOx emissions compared to conventional fuel engines.

The CEO of PPA S.A, Mr. Su Xudong, commented:
The arrival of modern next-generation vessels, such as the M/V Tourmaline Ace, strengthens the port’s position as a strategic vehicle transport hub in the wider region, while also highlighting our commitment to sustainable development and environmentally responsible port operations.”
This further reinforces the Port of Piraeus’ role in the international vehicle supply chain, while reflecting PPA’s ongoing commitment to investments in innovation, technological upgrading, and sustainable development through partnerships that promote modern transport solutions with a reduced environmental footpri
