Samsung Heavy Industries disclosed on March 10 that it has secured an order for 3 crude oil carriers worth 400.1 billion won from a Bermuda-based shipping company. The vessels are scheduled for delivery by February 2029.

Samsung Heavy Industries’ cumulative order performance this year totals 11 vessels valued at 2.1billion,achieving1513.9 billion. By ship type, the orders comprise 3 LNG carriers, 2 ethane carriers, 2 container ships, and 4 crude oil carriers, totaling 11 vessels.

A Samsung Heavy Industries official emphasized, “Our current cumulative order backlog stands at 137 vessels worth $29.5 billion,” adding, “We will continue to pursue profitability-focused orders.”
