K MARINE SHIP MANAGEMENT, a ship management company of the Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha,Group, is pleased to announce that it has obtained ISO 45001 certification: Occupational Health and Safety Management System from ClassNK on 19 February 2026.

ISO 45001 is an international standard that specifies requirements for an occupational health and safety (OH&S) management system. It provides a structured framework for organizations to proactively enhance employee safety, reduce workplace risks, prevent work-related injuries and illnesses, and create safer and healthier working environments.

The acquisition of ISO 45001 certification reflects KMSM’s ongoing commitment to enhancing and maintaining safe and healthy working environments, both onboard vessels and at its shore-based offices. Through the implementation of this management system, KMSM aims to further strengthen its risk management practices, promote safety awareness, and promote the active participation of employees in occupational health and safety initiatives.
