Hyundai Glovis achieves 2.1 trillion won operating profit last year, a record high

Hyundai Glovis announced on Jan. 29 that its operating profit last year increased 18.3% year-on-year to 2.073 trillion won, recording the largest scale since its founding.
Last year’s revenue recorded 29.5664 trillion won, up 4.1% during the same period. Net income increased 57.8% year-on-year to 1.7347 trillion won, and the operating margin was calculated at 7.0%. All of these management indicators represent record highs.
This also significantly exceeded the performance guidance (forecast) announced at the beginning of last year. The guidance at that time was revenue of 28 trillion won to 29 trillion won and operating profit of 1.8 trillion won to 1.9 trillion won.
Fourth-quarter operating profit increased 10.6% year-on-year to 508.2 billion won. Revenue recorded 7.472 trillion won, up 2.5% during the same period.
By business segment, the logistics division recorded revenue of 10.0825 trillion won and operating profit of 753.4 billion won last year. Compared to the same period last year, revenue increased 2% while operating profit decreased 9%. This was affected by container freight rates showing some weakness amid a slight increase in global finished vehicle sales.
In the shipping business, last year’s revenue was 5.4014 trillion won and operating profit was 745.1 billion won, increasing 5% and 104% respectively compared to 2024. Factors such as increased non-affiliate customers including China and improved operational efficiency from fleet operation rationalization contributed positively to performance.
In distribution, the company posed revenue of 14.0825 trillion won and operating profit of 574.5 billion won last year. These figures increased 5% and 3%, respectively, compared to 2024. Growth factors included the start of mass production at new U.S. plants and the full-scale launch of exports to technical support assembly plants in emerging countries.
A Hyundai Glovis official said, “Last year, variables such as global economic slowdown, changes in trade environment including tariff policies, and strengthened protectionist trade trends acted in combination, creating very high uncertainty throughout the overall business environment,” adding, “Despite these internal and external business environments, we achieved record-breaking performance as a result of actively pursuing business with asset expansion for growth and non-affiliate customer expansion as core principles.”
Hyundai Glovis resolved to significantly raise its 2025 settlement dividend to ensure excellent business performance continues to shareholders, setting it at 5,800 won per share, up 57% compared to the same period last year. Shareholders listed in the shareholder registry by March 31 can receive payment in April. Hyundai Glovis explained, “We plan to continue considering whether dividend income separate taxation criteria are met as an important factor when establishing dividend policy.”
Hyundai Glovis has a policy to stably pursue business this year by implementing strategies for growth through asset expansion and non-affiliate customer expansion like existing management principles, even in uncertain business environments. Additionally, the company plans to focus on investments to secure new growth drivers such as artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics in preparation for future growth.
Considering the business situation comprehensively, Hyundai Glovis’s performance guidance for this year is revenue of 31 trillion won or more and operating profit of 2.1 trillion won or more.
