“K” Line Pte Ltd (KLPL) , a Singapore-based subsidiary wholly owned by Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd. (“K” LINE), confirms that its vessel, “DEVON BAY” (IMO: 9622849) was issued a distress signal from the vessel on the night of 22 January 2026, during transporting nickel ore from the Philippines to China. Search and rescue operations by the relevant authorities and vessels from the “K” LINE Group fleet are continuing for the Vessel and the four crew members who remain unaccounted for. We would like to reiterate our sincere appreciation to the China Coast Guard, the Philippine Coast Guard, the coordinating rescue centers, and all supporting vessels and crew members for their highly professional and dedicated efforts in the ongoing operations.

17 of the crew member, comprising 15 survivors and two fallen, arrived in the Philippines on 26 January 2026 at approximately 7:30 AM JST today under the care of the Philippine Coast Guard, and have been safely received by the ship manager who are providing immediate medical care and support. Arrangements have been made for them to be reunited with their families, while we continue to support their care and recovery. “K” LINE, in cooperation with KLPL, will continue to work closely with the relevant authorities and the ship manager to support the care and well-being of the 15 of the crew members who have safely disembarked.

“K” Line is also fully cooperating with the authorities in their investigations and will coordinate as necessary regarding any required measures.
