Ocean Autonomy Cluster has been awarded the NHO Company of the Month prize for its targeted efforts to connect Norwegian technology companies more closely with the European market,  and for contributing to increased security through technology and international cooperation.

The award is presented monthly by the Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise (NHO) and highlights organisations that stand out in value creation, innovation and societal contribution. According to NHO, Ocean Autonomy Cluster’s role as a bridge between industry, technology and European markets is particularly important in today’s security policy landscape.

“Ocean Autonomy Cluster receives the Company of the Month award for its work in linking companies more closely to Europe and making European markets more accessible. This also has a clear security dimension. Trade policy is security policy, and making companies’ technologies available in Europe is critically important for a safer Europe,” says Guro Angell Gimse, Regional Director at NHO.

Ocean Autonomy Cluster brings together stakeholders within autonomy, maritime systems and advanced ocean technologies, and has in recent years significantly strengthened its international engagement. The cluster supports member companies in market access, partnerships and positioning in Europe, including through EU cooperation and participation in international projects.

“Since our inception, we have worked purposefully towards international markets, both in Europe and the United States, and we are now seeing our members begin to benefit from these efforts. It is therefore a great honour to receive this award, which also serves as a confirmation of the importance of the work we do,” says Cluster Manager Frode Halvorsen.

The NHO Company of the Month award underscores the importance of Ocean Autonomy Cluster’s work at the intersection of industrial development, technology and European security.
