Sidus Space, an innovative space and defense technology company, announced the successful completion of the design phase for its FeatherEdge™ 248Vi edge computer, a modular Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) processor line that represents the next evolution in Sidus’ Orlaith™ AI Ecosystem and is purpose-built to support spaceborne, aerial, and autonomous missions. Building on the proven on-orbit performance of FeatherEdge™ 100i, one of the first commercially operational space edge computers, the new 248Vi is engineered to deliver unmatched compute power and ruggedized reliability for mission-critical operations across all domains.

Compared to previous generations, FeatherEdge™ 248Vi delivers a 2.5x increase in AI compute capability and 4x memory capacity, while maintaining optimized Size, Weight, Power, and Cost (SWaP-C) for unmanned platforms, electronic warfare, and space and defense operations.
