The Maritime Anti-Corruption Network  is pleased to announce the appointment of Øistein Jensen (Chief Sustainability Officer, Odfjell SE) as the new Chair of the MACN Board, and Dorte Christensen (Vice President Operations & Claims, Hafnia) as Vice Chair of the Board.

Øistein brings extensive experience in sustainability and corporate governance to his new role, and has been a strong advocate for ethical business practices throughout his career. His leadership will be instrumental in advancing MACN’s mission as the Network continues to expand its global reach and impact.

Dorte has served as a MACN Board Member since 2023 and has been an active contributor to the Network’s strategy and engagement efforts. Her operational expertise and commitment to transparency will strengthen the Board’s capacity to drive meaningful change across the maritime sector.

Øistein succeeds Ann Shazell (Group Counsel, Ocean Transportation at Cargill International SA), who is stepping down after her term as Chair. During her tenure, Ann has led MACN through a period of continued growth and global engagement, fostering collaboration across the industry and strengthening the Network’s impact in collective action initiatives worldwide.

Ann Shazell shared her appreciation as she steps down:

Together, we’ve made great strides in strengthening our collective voice against corruption and in supporting tangible, lasting change across the maritime sector. I am confident that under Øistein’s leadership, MACN will continue to grow its impact and advance its mission globally. Øistein Jensen commented on his new appointment:

Dorte Christensen reflected on her new role as Vice Chair:
