The inaugural Cyprus Forum Athens, co-organized by Oxygen for Democracy and the Association of Cypriot Professionals in Greece (ACPG), was held under the auspices of the Embassy of Cyprus in Athens as part of the “Cyprus Days” (ΗμέρεςΚύπρου) celebrations on Tuesday, October 14, at the Eugenides Foundation.

The event was hosted by Ms. Adriana Paraskevopoulou, journalist at ERT and Science and Technical Skills Communication Ambassador for the Eugenides Foundation.

Opening remarks were delivered by Mr. Stavros Avgoustidis, Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus in Athens; Ms. Despina Panagiotou Theodosiou, Co-CEO of Tototheo Global and President of ACPG; and Mr. Nicolas Kyriakides, Executive President of Cyprus Forum.

The Forum brought together five ministers, government officials, academics, and senior business executives from both Cyprus and Greece.
Through six thematic panels, participants addressed key issues concerning the economy, innovation, entrepreneurship, geopolitics, and bilateral relations.

Key discussion highlights included:

• Innovation and digital governance as drivers for international competitiveness
• The exchange of best practices and the strengthening of institutional cooperation between Greece and Cyprus
• The pivotal role of SKEE as a catalyst for professional networking and knowledge exchange

• Economic growth and investment as pathways to a resilient and sustainable future

The Cyprus Forum Athens underscored the vast potential for deeper cooperation between Greece and Cyprus at both governmental and business levels.
