The Fratelli Cosulich Group’s Maya Cosulich, a 7,990 DWT methanol dual-fuel IMO II chemical bunker tanker, was officially launched at Taizhou Maple Leaf Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. this week and will shortly make its way to Singapore to begin operations under time charter with TFG Marine.

This marks the culmination of a collaborative project that began in 2023, representing another important step in the development of low-emission bunkering solutions for one of the world’s busiest ports.

Designed by SeaTech Solutions International (SSI), the Maya Cosulich features diesel-electric propulsion, onboard battery storage, and two mass flow meters (MFMs). Fully compliant with the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) methanol bunkering standards, the vessel is among the first methanol dual-fuel bunker tankers to operate in the Port of Singapore, setting a new benchmark for safe and efficient delivery of alternative marine fuels in the region.
