Mintra is delighted to announce that it has been shortlisted as a finalist in two prestigious categories at the HR NETWORK National Awards 2025: ESG Award of the Year and Employee Engagement Award of the Year.

Now in its 18th year, the HR NETWORK National Awards celebrate excellence and achievement across the Scottish HR profession. This year saw an unprecedented number of high-calibre nominations, making finalist recognition a significant achievement and an impressive reflection of the progress Mintra has made in its people and culture strategy.

Mintra’s nomination for the ESG Award of the Year recognises its strong commitment to sustainability and social responsibility. Environmental impact has been reduced by investing in renewable energy across its offices in Norway, Cyprus and Scotland, as well as encouraging remote working, cutting individual carbon footprints by up to 54%. A green energy report in Aberdeen is exploring further efficiency measures and alternative power sources. Beyond environmental initiatives, Mintra has strengthened cultural engagement in a hybrid world through online activities that connect colleagues globally and build lasting relationships.

The Employee Engagement Award nomination reflects Mintra’s dedication to creating a workplace where every voice is heard and valued. Leadership ensures transparency through regular town halls and structured feedback, while a comprehensive rewards programme celebrates achievements with personalised appreciation and recognition. Continuous training and development opportunities encourage growth at every level, and the impact of these initiatives is measured through employee morale, loyalty and performance to ensure ongoing alignment with Mintra’s vision.

This approach has already delivered impressive results. Mintra has been recognised as one of The Sunday Times Best Places to Work for two consecutive years, and by Women in Transport as the Maritime Industry Leader for equity. An employee engagement survey score increased overall by 3% in the past 12 months, with every individual category showing improvement. These accolades demonstrate a dynamic, supportive workplace, where employees feel valued, empowered and inspired to innovate.

Amy Reid, Director of People & Culture and member of Mintra’s Senior Leadership Team, has been instrumental in driving these initiatives since joining in 2022. Finalist interviews were conducted by the judging panel on 9–10 September 2025. Nominees will attend a celebratory lunch on 23 October ahead of the Awards Gala Dinner on 13 November 2025, where winners will be announced.
