Daibiru invests in Asilla, a provider of AI security solutions

Creating Safe and Comfortable Urban Spaces Through Technology and Taking on the Challenge of Next-Generation Urban Development
DAIBIRU CORPORATION announced that it has made an investment in Asilla
Daibiru actively promotes the introduction of technologies that contribute to creating safe and comfortable spaces, aiming to enhance urban value and advance community development. This investment reflects Daibiru’s high regard for the technological capabilities and proven track record of Asilla’s AI security solution, “AI Security asilla,” and is intended to enhance safety and operational efficiency in the office buildings and commercial facilities that the company owns.
Asilla provides AI Security asilla, an AI security system that, by using its proprietary behavior recognition AI to analyze the posture and movements of people in video footage in real time, instantly detects and gives notice of abnormal behavior such as falls, violence, intrusions, and unattended objects. This technology is drawing attention as an effective solution to challenges facing the security industry, such as labor shortages, an aging workforce, and rising costs. So far, it has been implemented in over 150 facilities worldwide, including mixed-use complexes, stations, hotels, hospitals, and airports.

Daibiru began a proof-of-concept trial for AI Security asilla at Akihabara Daibiru in July 2025 and has been proceeding with business co-creation alongside Asilla. Going forward, Daibiru aims to draw on this business partnership to develop a next-generation building management model employing AI technology. Specifically, it is looking to enhance the efficiency of security operations, provide a greater sense of security for facility users, optimize management costs, and create new value through co-creation with local communities.
Daibiru, a wholly owned subsidiary of Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL), has been collaborating with the Daibiru Desk of MOL PLUS Co., Ltd. (CEO: Takuya Sakamoto; Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo), MOL’s corporate venture capital fund, in its investment activities, and after jointly examining the project, decided to move forward with its investment.
