The Incheon Port Authority announced that Eugene Seroka, Executive Director of the Port of Los Angeles , officially visited Incheon Port on September 22.

During his visit, Executive Director Seroka met with IPA President Lee Kyung-kyu, vice presidents of three divisions, and other executives to discuss strategic cooperation between the two ports. The discussions focused on ▲stabilizing Incheon Port’s trans-Pacific service (PS6), ▲collaborating on attracting refrigerated and frozen cargo, and ▲exchanging eco-friendly and smart port technologies.

Seroka and his delegation also visited Sun Kwang Container Terminal (SNCT) to inspect the automated terminal operations and eco-friendly port facilities. They discussed ways to maintain punctuality of trans-Pacific routes calling at Incheon Port and to generate new cargo volume.

Incheon Port is the only domestic port that has a sister port relationship with the Port of Los Angeles, having signed a memorandum of understanding for sister port cooperation in May. The port authorities agreed to further strengthen their cooperation for stabilizing the global supply chain and ensuring sustainable port operations, taking advantage of Executive Director Seroka’s visit.

IPA President Lee Kyung-kyu stated, “Executive Director Seroka’s visit to Incheon Port serves as a crucial opportunity to concretely implement the sister port cooperation agreement signed at the Port of Los Angeles in May.” He added, “Amid global supply chain uncertainties, we will further strengthen our cooperation with the Port of Los Angeles to stabilize trans-Pacific services and transition to eco-friendly and digital logistics.”
