SUDILES – BETICO chooses Moment to deliver a new onboard digital experience in New Caledonia

Moment, a leading provider of onboard digital solutions for the travel industry, announces its partnership with SUDILES – BETICO, the key passenger maritime operator in New Caledonia. SUDILES – BETICO has chosen Moment to design and deploy its new entertainment platform, now live and available to all passengers.
SUDILES – BETICO provides essential maritime connections between Nouméa, Isle of Pines (Île des Pins), and the Loyalty Islands (Maré, Lifou, Ouvéa). For over 15 years, its vessel BETICO 2 has been serving both residents and tourists, offering fast, comfortable travel while supporting the region’s tourism and local economy. Accommodating up to 355 passengers per trip and carrying around 85,000 passengers annually, SUDILES – BETICO is dedicated to delivering a comfortable and memorable travel experience. As part of this commitment, the company has now enhanced its onboard digital services.
The new entertainment platform, accessible directly from passengers’ personal devices via the onboard Wi‑Fi network, offers a fully branded interface aligned with SUDILES – BETICO identity and delivers an engaging digital experience throughout the journey.
With a selection of approximately 100 titles available in French and English, passengers can enjoy movies, TV series, podcasts, and games. Designed for offline use, the platform ensures a seamless experience even in areas with no connectivity. Passengers can browse and enjoy content without consuming data.
In addition, the platform integrates dedicated SUDILES – BETICO iframes featuring company news, onboard menus, buy-on-board, and special offers, giving passengers easy access to both practical information and exclusive deals during their trip.
Key solution features include:
- Ratings and customized surveys for instant user feedback
- Exclusive media technologies for a smooth user experience
- Multi-language and responsive interface
- Advertising and sponsorship space for monetization
Tanguy Morel, CEO and co-founder at Moment, said:
“We are proud that SUDILES – BETICO has chosen Moment to enhance the passenger experience on its ferry. This collaboration demonstrates how maritime operators can offer high-quality entertainment and services without relying solely on constant connectivity.”
Edouard CASTAING, Managing Director at SUDILES – BETICO, added:
“Passenger comfort and satisfaction are at the heart of everything we do. We wanted a solution that could offer a modern, engaging digital experience regardless of connectivity conditions. Moment’s platform perfectly meets this need, delivering high‑quality content and features that bring real value to the journey.”
This partnership reinforces Moment’s expertise in delivering innovative and scalable solutions for the maritime sector, alongside its work in aviation and rail.
