Coastal Veterans Repair Group Acquires Voyager Maritime Alliance Group, signaling the awn of a new era in marine repair services

Coastal Veterans Repair Group, a veteran-owned ship repair and marine services firm headquartered in North Carolina, is pleased to announce the acquisition of Voyager Maritime Alliance Group, a leading provider of marine electronics, systems integration, and vessel support services based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
This strategic acquisition represents a significant milestone in Coastal Veterans Repair Group’s ongoing expansion into high-end yacht systems, navigation, and marine technology sectors. By synergizing Coastal’s robust capabilities in
shipbuilding and repair with Voyager Maritime’s extensive expertise in custom systems integration, the group is poised to offer a comprehensive suite of services to both commercial and private maritime clients across the nation, and in time, globally.
As part of the acquisition, David Leone, the founder and former owner of Voyager Maritime Alliance Group, will retain a consulting role with the company. His continued involvement ensures a seamless transition for existing clients and safeguards the technical excellence and customer relationships that have characterized VMAG’s legacy for over three decades.
David Leone, the proprietor of VMAG, has been contemplating the sale of his business for several years. He has expressed his gratitude for the unwavering support of loyal customers, employees, and the yachting community throughout his 30-year journey. Leone stated, “Coastal Veterans Repair Group is the ideal acquirer, recognizing its alignment with VMAG’s values and vision. I would like to take this opportunity to express my appreciation for the unwavering support of loyal customers, employees, and the yachting community throughout my 30-year journey.”
“This is more than just a strategic acquisition-it’s a values-aligned partnership,” said Eugene Thelin, Partner at Coastal Veterans Repair Group. Thelin emphasized that the acquisition transcends a mere strategic move, encompassing a values-aligned partnership and highlighted VMAG’s exceptional operations, which prioritize quality, service, and innovation. With Leone’s continued involvement, the company remains committed to upholding these standards while simultaneously enhancing its ability to deliver comprehensive solutions across the marine sector.
Coastal Veterans Repair Group has the intention of retaining VMAG’s Fort Lauderdale location and personnel. Simultaneously, the organization plans to allocate significant investment in emerging technologies, training programs, and nationwide field service capabilities.
