MOL PLUS  announced that it has made an additional investment in Metro Weather  a company engaged in the development, sales, and provision of data for 3D wind measurement device. This makes MOL PLUS’s third investment in Metro Weather .

With the vision “Controlling the wind, and realizing the safer skies,” Metro Weather aims to assist problem-solving in various industries and drone society by providing a wind condition measurement solution with a compact, lightweight, low-price Doppler lidar as an essential infrastructure. In addition to wind measurement, the company is currently developing object detection technology utilizing Doppler LiDAR technology.

MOL PLUS expects Metro Weather’s initiatives to contribute to the enhancement of value across a wide range of industries, and has decided to make an additional investment. Going forward, as end users in the fields of shipping and logistics, which fall under the scope of the MOL Group’s business, we will contribute to exploring applications for wind measurement and prediction solutions and expanding their areas of use, with the aim of further promoting the widespread adoption of Doppler LiDAR in society.
