VIPs at Nor-Shipping 2025, taking place this week in Oslo and Lillestrøm, Norway, will enjoy some light speed luxury courtesy of the event’s latest Partner, Lucid Motors. Here Lawrence Hamilton, Managing Director Europe, Lucid, explains why the American-built Lucid Air is the perfect car to transport top executives to A to Zero.

Although relatively few readers will have personal experience of a Lucid Air, anyone with an interest in cars may already sense saliva glands kicking into overdrive.

Lucid Motors Europe is providing two Lucid Airs for the duration of Nor-Shipping, ferrying global decision makers such as John Kerry – one of the speakers at this year’s Ocean Leadership Conference – from event to event.

Although, at first glance, Lucid may seem to be an atypical Nor-Shipping Partner, Hamilton says the brand dovetails perfectly with the exhibition and event week, while also giving the cars “the ideal platform” to elevate visibility among forward-thinking industry leaders.

Point to point performance

The VIPs will also find themselves “moving forward in perfect harmony” when they fall back into the huge seating area, before distance falls away as they’re whisked from point to point. (Whisked being the operative word, with the Air’s top models boasting up to 1,251ps.)

Let’s hope they actually want to get out the car to participate in Nor-Shipping’s fascinating array of speaking and knowledge sharing events.

Mind you, with the space available in a Lucid Air, maybe they could invite the audience in!
