Samsung Electronics launched its thinnest smartphone, the Galaxy S25 Edge, in Korea on May 23. More than half of the domestic pre-order purchasers were in their 10s to 30s, showing continued interest primarily among younger generations.

The Galaxy S25 Edge is an ultra-slim model with a thickness of 5.8mm and a light weight of 163g, equipped with camera performance on par with the S25 Ultra. It features a 200-megapixel ultra-high-resolution wide-angle camera and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens, allowing for capturing wide frames in a single shot. It also introduces autofocus (AF) function for macro photography and front-facing log video functionality for the first time. All existing Galaxy AI-based editing features from the S25 series, such as Audio Eraser and Sketch Conversion, are equally supported. The chipset is the same as the Galaxy S25 series, featuring the most powerful Galaxy-exclusive chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy.

During the domestic pre-sale conducted on Samsung.com from May 14-20, more than half of the purchasers were in their 10s to 30s. The most popular color was Titanium Silver. According to LG Uplus’s analysis of pre-order customers for this product, purchases were made in the order of Titanium Ice Blue (39.9%), Titanium Silver (31.5%), and Titanium Jet Black (28.6%).

Samsung Electronics plans to provide Galaxy S25 Edge purchasers with 6 months of free Google One AI Premium subscription, 3 months of Welaaa subscription, and 3 months of unlimited subscription to domestic and international digital magazines through Moazine. Customers who purchase the Galaxy S25 Edge unlocked model through Samsung Electronics’ New Galaxy AI Subscription Club will receive benefits such as up to 50% residual value compensation upon device return and discounts on mobile accessories.
