Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, announced that it has been designated as a Certified Health & Productivity Management Outstanding Organization  for the seventh year in a row, and it has been named to the “White 500,” a list of the top 500 enterprises in the program, administered by Nippon Kenko Kaigi  for the third consecutive year.

The program recognizes organizations, including large and small/medium-sized enterprises, that practice excellent health management based on their efforts in line with health management issues facing communities and health promotion initiatives. In the 2024 Health Management Survey (Large Enterprise Category), MOL was ranked in the top 500 out of 3,869 enterprises that underwent a comprehensive assessment. MOL is the only company in the shipping industry named to the “White 500.”

MOL will link this to the realization of “Diversity, Equity & Inclusion,” “Mutually Empowered,” and “Highly Engaged,” as set forth in the group’s HC Vision by supporting the mental and physical health of every employee. It aims to establish a sound, energetic, innovative organization, become the world leader in safe operation, and develop the MOL Group into “a strong and resilient corporate group.”

[MOL’s major initiatives to promote health management]

MOL restructured its Medical Room and established the Health Administration Center in March 2024 to expand health maintenance and management functions and to strengthen and improve the system. The center consists of three departments: the Health Support Dept., the Occupational Health Dept., and the Mental Health Dept., each staffed by skilled professionals, to address health measures more effectively and meticulously. It supports the physical and mental health of all employees, including those working at sea and overseas, in cooperation with the Human Capital Management Division and Mitsui O.S.K. health insurance society.
