25 LIFE JACKETS OF LOVE FOR LITTLE HEROES

To mark 25 years of contributions to the maritime industry, the UW Group is proud to join forces with the Little Heroes Foundation through its non-profit initiative, The Life Jacket Foundation.

As the UW Group celebrates a quarter-century of dynamic presence in shipping, it is thrilled to announce its partnership with the Little Heroes Foundation for 2025. This collaboration, facilitated through The Life Jacket Foundation, underscores the group’s unwavering commitment to social responsibility.

Founded in 2000 through its subsidiaries UMAR Shipping Services and WSR Services, UW Group represents many of the world’s most prominent and reliable organizations in the maritime industry. With a strategic presence in Cyprus, Greece, Singapore, the UAE, and China, the group is a recognized leader in advancing the maritime industry through high-quality services.

The Life Jacket Foundation, established by the UW Group, is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting individuals and organizations working with children. Through donations and events, the foundation not only aids children but also addresses broader social and environmental challenges, such as ocean pollution. Since its inception, it has supported numerous schools and childcare organizations, providing financial, medical, and educational assistance.

The Little Heroes Foundation, founded in 2017 by Loukas Fourlas, offers psychological and financial support to children diagnosed with cancer and leukemia, and their families. Its aid extends to children receiving treatment at the Pediatric Oncology Department of Makarios Hospital or undergoing therapy abroad.

Throughout 2025, The Life Jacket Foundation will direct its activities and donations to meet the needs of the Little Heroes Foundation, providing meaningful support to children battling cancer and leukemia, as well as their families. A detailed program of activities will be announced later.

The decision of UW Group to dedicate this year’s initiatives of The Life Jacket Foundation to supporting the work of the Little Heroes Foundation, aligns perfectly with the group’s values and deep-rooted commitment to social responsibility.
