Hans Tore will start his new role in the company on January 1st 2025. Andrea Qualizza to remain as Chairman.

Hans Tore has been working at Vard Electro since 2017. He started as System Integrator before he became a Project Manager. From June 2021 he took on the position as Vice President for El. Inst Operations and was promoted to Senior Vice President El. Inst. Operations with effect from January 1 , 2024. His promotion to the role of General Manager will ensure a continuing strong leadership in Vard Electro.

New role in Fincantieri

Andrea Qualizza, after successfully delivering a full turn-around of Vard Electro, where he has been General Manager for more than five years, has been appointed Head of “Maritime Systems” in Fincantieri with the mission to develop best-in-class solutions and to create an integrated proposition for both captive and non-captive markets, operating within the Electronics and Digital Product Hub, sharing best practices between NexTech and Vard Electro.

From 1st of January, Andrea will continue as Chairman and will have executive powers over the external sales strategy and the products’ development, together with a special focus on all Cruise projects in Vard Electro. “I am pleased to welcome Hans Tore as the new General Manager of Vard Electro. With his extensive experience and leadership, I am confident he will drive our continued success and strengthen our position in the market. His appointment ensures continuity with the strong SVP team we’ve built, and I am certain he will play a key role in shaping the future of Vard Electro, particularly in the offshore business”, Andrea says.
