Europa Donna Cyprus is an independent, non-profit organisation and member of Europa Donna – The European Breast Cancer Coalition, which consists of 47 member countries. The Organisation aims to provide support services to patients with breast cancer and gynaecological cancer, to assert patients’ rights, as well as to raise public awareness, contributing to prevention, early diagnosis and optimal treatment.

Its primary objective is to raise awareness of breast and gynaecological cancers, and encourage people to advocate for improved education, appropriate screening, optimal treatment and increased funding for research.

Europa Donna Cyprus represents the interests of Cypriot population in matters related to breast and gynaecological cancers by engaging with local and national authorities as well as European Union institutions.

Through its programs, the Organisation provides, among other things, free psychological support services to patients and their family members, physical therapy services and nutrition services. In addition, the Organisation subsidises the purchase of a wig, while also providing the first soft breast prosthesis, special bra and external silicone prosthesis to women who have undergone mastectomy. Also, through the pillow positive project, it offers a heart-shaped pillow which provides physical and mental relief to patients who are recovering after surgery.
